Build a simple custom theme – Part 1

The goal of this tutorial is to guide you through the steps required to convert a PSD into this WordPress site.

The website will be created using with the BLM Basic starter theme. Starting from scratch is beyond the scope of this tutorial. It’s best to start with a starter theme that is simple, clean and devoid of styles. Once installed you will soon see what I mean.

To get you started you will need to download and set up the following:

• Download the Final Theme The PSD (Web_vs1) and images are here.
• Download a copy of my Basic starter theme
• Set up a new installation of WordPress on your local host or server.
